This is a fast growing shrub that ticks all the boxes. Stunning new growth in the Spring and lush foliage year-round. The big show happens in late winter to spring when the bracts (the leaf looking things surrounding the cone) color up from a lime green to a pinkish-red. Excellent cut flower or left alone to do its thing, this plant is a winner.
